YouTube Channel SnowboardSecretsTV Explodes in Popularity
Hits 200,000 Total Views

Westchester County, NY. April 22, 2011 - SnowboardSecretsTV Channel on YouTube hit the milestone of 200,000 views on April 22, 2011.

The YouTube Channel created by internet entrepreneur Lauren Traub Teton has exploded in popularity, with channel views up a total of 50% since the recent US Open of Snowboarding in March 2011. 164 short videos are posted on the channel that encompasses snowboard events and parties, snowboard athlete interviews, skateboard events, music festivals, and more.

Begun in March 2009, the two year old grass-roots channel on snowboarding caters solidly to the Twifties demographic, that is the fun sporty people in their late 40s and up, with a total of 49% of viewers over age 44. 64% of viewers are over age 34 and 71% are male. The channel is considered grass-roots because it is guerilla marketed on a small budget via stickers handed out at live events, and internet word of mouth, instead of using traditional expensive advertising in magazines.

All videos posted at SnowboardSecretsTV on YouTube can also be viewed easily on the TV Channel Online at www.SnowboardSecrets.TV. Ms. Teton created the format for TV Channel Online out of a need to categorize her videos easily for viewers to find on the YouTube format. “Now you can click a category and see all our ‘US Open’ videos or ‘Snowboard Athlete and Coach Interviews’ easily, and users can search our site” says Ms. Teton. “The TV Channel Online format is so good and easy to use for viewers and video makers that it’s available to license” says Teton.

Video is a relatively new medium for Lauren Traub Teton. “I bought my first video camera, a Flip Video the moment I became aware of it, and then switched to my Canon Power Shot still camera which takes incredible video and is the perfect size.” Teton was awarded the Harold Hirsch Video Journalism award Honorable Mention with many favorable comments last month by NASJA (North American Snowsports Journalists Association.)

The most popular videos on SnowboardSecrets.TV are “JR Celski, Olympic Speed Skater” interview, “US Open Snowboarding 2010 Men’s Halfpipe Interviews - Peetu, Kazu, Iouri, Scotty Lago and Janne Korpe,” “USASA Nationals 2010 Injuries from Snowboarding Slopestyle,” “Sarka Pancochova,” and “Buff Headwear at Belleayre Mountain.” A 28-second video from the US Open Snowboarding Championship in March 2011 called “Excuse me, R U Danny Davis” continues to gain in popularity on the site.

SnowboardSecrets.TV is a division of Sport Secrets LLC, which is also the parent of Flexmeters.com, the US importer and distributor of Flexmeter/Docmeter snowboard wrist guards and gloves designed by a doctor and proven to reduce snowboard and skateboard wrist injuries. Lauren Traub Teton is the inventor of these websites: SnowboardSecrets.com, SnowboardSecrets.TV, SnowboardNews.TV, SnowboardEventsCalendar.com, SnowboardRegistry.com, SnowboardProfiles.com, Flexmeters.com, Twifties.TV, TwiftiesCalendar.com, Twifties.com (coming soon), TalkingNames.com, realpeoplemarketing.com, and MusicFestCalendar.com. She says that telephones are the new TV and 3 minutes is the new 30 minute show.
